Ascension Anglican Church of Houston is blessed to be led by The Reverend Dr Chidebem Davidson Nwosu, who serves as the Priest-in-Charge. A resident of Sugar Land, Texas, Rev. Dr Nwosu brings a wealth of spiritual depth, academic excellence, and leadership experience to his ministry.

Rev. Dr Nwosu’s journey to ordained ministry is marked by a distinguished background in both military and academic fields. He served honorably in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Major, and completed a Master’s degree at the Air Force Air War University. His academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Prairie View A&M University, Texas, a Doctor of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University, and a Master of Divinity from Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois.

His ministerial experience began in the Baptist denomination, where he was ordained in 2013 and served faithfully as Associate Pastor at Christian Life Fellowship. In November 2020, he was also ordained in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), embracing the liturgical depth and biblical fidelity of the Anglican tradition.

Rev. Dr Nwosu leads Ascension Anglican Church of Houston with a heart for vibrant worship, sound teaching, and authentic Christian community. His vision is to nurture a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled congregation where people from all nations and backgrounds grow together in faith, love, and service.
